Bunting

I find fabric bunting to be a very charming decorative object, not only as an occasional festive decoration but as a permanent element which can add grace and color to a not so graceful space, apart from the kids room which would be the most obvious place to hang one, a corridor, a kitchen, the exterior of the house. For some reason it brings to mind summer and joyful moments, something you would love to have in your home for sure. Last year I made one to decorate the gate of the church where my second son's baptism took place, instead of the usual flower decoration, and I loved it. Probably the photographer didn't, because there is no picture where my bunting is visible. But I can show you some other. Mine now hangs in the kids' room in our summer house.

Beautiful fabrics

I can't sew but I love browsing the web for beautiful fabric. All these colors and patterns fascinate me. When I discovered Heather Bailey's online store I loved her beautiful florals and their delightful color combinations. Imagine what beautiful crafts you can use them for. They make me want to learn how to sew now!

For fun and inspiration

It's been a long time since I updated my blog and I missed it. I'm in the process of listing new jewerly to my shop, which takes a lot of time. Just to relax a bit I browsed the net for some color therapy. Here are the colors, enjoy and use them as inspiration for your creations.

Gingham is good

In fact I find anything made of gingham fabric irresistible. Although some think it's right just for baby clothes and nurseries, I believe it is perfect for women clothes and accessories not only girly and romantic but also feminine and elegant, even sexy, with a 50's feel.

I think it's great for home decor too, giving a fresh and cheerful look to the space, not necessarily too country.

And this is my notebook, a gift by my friend Vassiliki.

And of course a search through Etsy you will show you that gingham is used for the creation of some of the most gorgeous handmade items.
