Today I will show you a Christmas project that is rather traditional in style. The ribbon I used was sent to me by Abakhan Fabrics, to make a special tutorial with it, and the exchange was arranged via Totally Tutorials blog.
When I saw the ribbon I thought it would make a nice combination with an old gilded wooden frame I have.
I turned the frame and the ribbon upside down and I nailed it on the two sides of the frame using thumb tacks and making sure it is well stretched.
I cut the excess ribbon and repeated the first step twice moving lower on the frame
in order to have this result
I cut three fine branches of ivy from the garden and secured it on the top side of the frame with some wire
I tied a big ribbon in the middle of the upper side.
I used red wooden pegs to hang some vintage cards on the ribbon, a couple of felt ornaments and a Christmas tree card my younger son made last year in nursery school.
